Your asymmetrical haircut is making me hot. You're so hip, ooooh, it hurts

I love your asymmetrical haircut
It makes me hot
All dressed up like you're in a fancy fashion magazine
You're so trendy
And you shake it on the dance floor
So sexy
You do the robot
It makes me wanna say
You're so electroclash
Now show me your ass...

Little 500 goes gay...kind of

Well the "World's Greatest College Weekend" is a bit more queer. I don't just mean that more fratboys are groping each other (though they are) or that all those bare chested hotties from Sigma Chi aren't out drinking on their lawn and tugging each other's shorts down as they play frisbee (they are). This year for the first time, the Little 500 Bike Race at Indiana University will have a "gay" team -- if you count the token gay as making the team a "gay" team.
The team known as Rainbow Cycling, is “the Breaking Away story” of this year’s Little 500 on April 22.

They're at it again...

Internet providers such as AT&T and Verizon are hard at work lobbying Congress to kill the concept of Network Neutrality. Net Neutrality prevents AT&T from choosing which websites open most easily for you based on which site pays AT&T more.
The big fat cat politicos don't think we are paying attention to this. Many of them take campaign checks from these big telecom companies and are on the verge of selling out to people like AT&T's CEO, who openly says, "The internet can't be free."

Am I being serious? Or shallow?
"The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend a personal God and avoid dogmas and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. If there is any religion that would cope with modern scientific needs, it would be Buddhism."Albert Einstein

Deep thoughts...no...I'm being serious, I swear!
"Seriousness is the only refuge of the shallow."

My sense of humor

This man is a genius. I think a lot of people are geniuses, but he really is.
Read whatever he writes. Listen to him on NPR.
He's the only gay man on NPR.
Oh...wait, there's that Sedaris guy too. He keeps me in stiches as well, but this guy I'm talking about is much more twisted and insane. He's got a dark sense of humor. I like that in a man.
You could see him getting in a bar fight and winning. Sedaris would not win. Amy Sedaris might. She's a tough gal. David is not a tough gal.
Of course, I'm talking about the one, the only, Augusten Burroughs you silly nilly. Check out his books: Possible Side Effects, Magical Thinking, Dry, Running with Scissors, and Sellevision.

The beheld
One of my favorite artists, genius Michael Teague

This is a French Style portrait evokes that transitional period in the late 1900's when Romanticism was giving way to Modernism. The figurative style is an ode to Tissot, whose bright pallete was quite a departure from the brown sauce of eariler French Salon painting. The right side of the painting is pointillist, and it includes a reasonable facsimile of Seurat's rendering of the Eiffel Tower.

The true voice

It speaks. It whispers.
It is subltle. It is velvet.
It is the Mel Torme of vodkas.
I build all my drinks on it. It rocks on the rocks.
Neil Diamond said it: "Love on the rocks..."
First time I met Vox was at an Apres Ski in Aspen. It was the year Vox was released in the US. It was at the St. Regis in that big courtyard they have with the fire pit. The drinks were great. I have a souvenir soap dispenser from the bathroom. I was Vox drunk. Give me a break.
